It is important that you server Mother Nature's Recipes raw food when it is completely thawed yet still cold to the touch. It is best to thaw the product in your refrigerator overnight. Never microwave any product. Microwaves cause the fat molecules to change, making the fats less digestible. Mother Nature's Recipes products can be used in conjunction with a high quality dry dog food.

Because of increased nutrient density and increased digestibility you are able to feed less food daily when compared to non-raw food diets. We suggest that you start by feeding your pet approximately 2-3% of its body weight for an adult dog and 4-8% for a puppy per day. An example might be a 30 pound adult dog should receive approximately 3/4 to 1 pound of food per day. A 10 pound puppy should receive anywhere from a 1/2 pound to 1 pound of food per day. We recommend feeding adult pets twice daily and puppies 3 to 4 times daily. Please keep in mind that our feeding guidelines are just estimates. Factors such as levels of activity, age, breed, and health all play a part in determining the quantity of food your pet requires.
